Nightmare before Christmas

I think October flies by way too fast, and I always rush decorating for Halloween. Next year I will be a little more prepared. But this year I was inspired by my all time favourite Halloween movie, The Nightmare before Christmas. That's a lie. Every year I am inspired by it :)

Winter is Coming

So...after watching Game of Thrones I must say I am now addicted to this world of Westeros created by George R. R. Martin. I couldn't wait for season two which will be shown next year, so instead I got the books and started reading. My favourite character by far is Arya Stark, once I got the books I skimmed through everyone's chapters and only read hers (I know that's not how to read books, so shoot me) but I couldn't stop reading her POV. Sometimes I would read until 3am because I can't put the book down. Credit would have to be given to Maisie Williams who plays Arya's character on the show because she sold me the show after Sean Bean of course. There are only two more books to go and the romantic in me hopes that Arya and Gendry will end up together. Mr Martin, please don't kill these two off.

Gendry & Arya

Knowing that this book is not a fairy tale, I am mentally prepared if these two don't end up together like how Robert felt about Lyanna...I still hope they do though!!! arrgghhh!! Right one year until season two and five years perhaps until the second last book... God I'm glad I only got into this book now and not back in 1996...I'll probably be drawing more from this world to distract the wait!

Lost In Austen

Very few people...actually no one knows that I have an obsession with Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Seriously who can not fall in love with Mr Darcy and want Elizabeth to end up with him. I absolutely adore the 1995 version, Colin Firth is Mr Darcy and I could not imagine anyone else play to him. In my opinion 2005 P&P movie's Mr Darcy while easy on the eyes he lacked the haughty attribute and was a bit too emotional. But I dare say, Lost in Austen's Darcy played by Elliot Cowan is just as good as Colin Firth's!*gasp*

Lost in Austen is about a girl Amanda Price who loves the P&P books swaps places with Elizabeth Bennett and is stuck in 18th Century England right at the start of the book. This mini series is hilarious and the idea is smart and fun. Especially love the references and my favourite part is how she compares Darcy with Colin Firth's and makes him go into the pond to get himself wet! A postmodern moment for her and us viewers! Entertaining! I cant believe I have never seen it but glad I waited, got the limited edition DVD journal(^ะท^)-☆Definitely a show for all P&P lovers who wants to escape to an alternative story line.

Maybe I can fill it up with inspiring adventures?
