Alannah Hill Autumn/Winter 2011 Collection

Absolutely love Alannah Hill's newest collection. Her style is very fairytale-esque, like something out of a dream. I went to two of her stores in search for the stripy blue jacket with the bow belt, but alas most of her newest collections has not yet reached the West. If anyone knows if this new design is in stores, please tell me!! :P

Onion Soup & Steak Salad

Usually when I cook dinner I only have time to cook one main dish but this weekend I decided to make two. 'Simple Onion Soup' and 'Steak Salad' both recipes from here and here. Both were simply delicious and went well together, probably the most gourmet food I have ever made. My Dad especially loved it, he brought out his favourite wine :) aww Thanks Dad♥! The steak salad recipe had blue cheese and red onion. I didn't add the red onions as we aleady had onion soup and I didn't add blue cheese because the one I bough-Danish blue cheese didn't really suit our taste buds... I guess I have taste for cheap cheese。・°°・(>_<)・°°・。!

A Garden Daydream

Ruche, a cute site selling clothes and accessories with a touch of vintage. My kinda style :) and I kinda went on a crazy shopping spree there today~! The best thing about this online store is the "shop lookbook" where all the clothes the models wear are available to buy on the site. It makes it so much easier to see what the clothes look like live and honestly when I go shopping I'm the type who will buy everything on the mannequin :D

Disney Dream Kitchen

Behold my dream kitchen ♥In disneyland there are always displays in front of the stores near the entrance of the park. One display in particular was this Mickey mouse kitchen. Most of the items shown actually can be bought from inside the store!! Unfortunatley my luggage was full so i couldnt buy everything. This is some of my collection so far...

Not nearly as close! Somethings needed were actually in the online disneystore! I made my wishlist a few days ago and today went online to check on it again and half of it is sold out! Whhaat?! I guess I'm not the only one out there wanting this dream kitchen :P :P Let's hope they are back in stock after my next pay day :)

Guylian Belgian Chocolates

Love, love, love chocolate!! I'm quite the chocoholic but really a chocoholic for Guylian! Simply mouth watering. Even looking at these sea shell shaped chocolates make me hungry. When I eat chocolate usually it lasts for a week or two but with Guylian I can eat the whole box in less than three days!(Yes I could eat it all in 10mins :P) There is also a Guylian Cafe in Antwerp and Sydney, both so far but definately a place to visit!!

*drools* I need to find the secret recipe! :)

Nikita Inspired Clothes Rack

While I've never seen the orginal "La Femme Nikita" I have really enjoyed the new TV series "Nikita" played by Maggie Q. Who would not like to see a girl kick butt while wearing nice dresses and in high heels? It's a skill I tell you! In the most recent episode I've only recently taken a notice of the things in her secret hideout. And I could not take my eyes off the gold clothes rack in her room; I had to have it! :)

In Ikea, while looking for a bookself I found a Silver Rigga Clothes rack for $17.99. This I coloured with Chase 24K Gold Enamel spray paint from Bunnings for about $15.00.TA-DA it now hold my nice dresses, jackets, necklaces and bags (((o(*゚▽゚*)o)))

Kimchi Croquettes

Everytime I visit my Korean friend's restaurant I will always order their delicious Kimich Croquettes but like any luxury restaurant the portions are so tiny...and I'm never satisfied (yes, I'm greedy) :P :P Luckly my tastebuds remembers food so I decided to make my own and after a few attempts I've mastered it (so proud of myself!) ☆〜(ゝ。∂)
Kimchi Croquette
Makes...a lot!
8 potatoes
100g-250g kimchi
3 cups of shredded cheese
2 eggs
5 cups corn flour
pinch of salt
pinch of pepper
1. Peel, wash and cut the potatoes into pieces and boil until soft. While waiting cut the kimchi into small pieces (use gloves if you don't want your hand smelling like Kimchi :P)
2. Once soft, mash the potatoes and mix in the chopped kimchi and cheese (frozen shredded cheese=ok). Add in the egg yolk but leave the white yolk in a bowl. Add salt and pepper. Empty the corn flour onto a plate

3. With your hands grab half a palm of the mixture. Roll into a ball. Dip into white yolk then cover with corn flour. Deep fry and eat with sauce (see below)
***If you like Kimchi by all means add more, if your stomach can't handle the heat add less. Same with the cheese, if you love cheese add a whole lot more :) ***

Korean Sauce
3 tablespoon sesame oil
3 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon water
*The ratio is for sesame to soy sauce is 1:1*

Crunchy on the outside, soft and cheesy on the inside~♥♥!

Working Girl

70% of the time I will buy my clothes, accessories... pretty much everything online or overseas. Why? the problem is where I live there isn't a variety of brands or styles of clothing. And everytime I buy something from the shops there is always someone wearing the exact same clothes as me!! It is very embarrassing. But since i was in desperate need for some new work clothes I decided to shop locally and to my suprise the style now isn't too bad and the prices are reasonable.

White Blouse -Temt ($34.95)

Tank top- Cotton On (2 for $20)

Necklace- Temt ($14.89)

Eco-Friendly Cups

I love having my own personal cup either for leisure, work or parties it's always fun. A personal favourite of mine is the resuable plastic starbucks cup-a special christmas edition (It feels like Christmas everytime I drink from this cup!!^^)
Another one I have is the Eco-Friendly Ellen DeGeneres tumbler which can hold my hot or cold beverages, the colour is also a nice metallic blue!
And last but not least my much bigger liquid storage cup with "Tonari no Totoro" pictures on one side. I got this from Osaka's Itami Airport on my flight to Miyazaki-shi. It's quite a big jug and is great for parties instead of having to walk back and forth to refill one's drink. Also it good to hold cold tea or freshly made juice in the summer! (Fits into the fridge nicely :D )

Candylicious

Imagine a world where all your favourite confectionaries, chocolate, ice creams are put together, a mini Willi Wonka factory if you will. Just the thought of it makes your mouth water! And such a place is possible in Candylicious!! When I went to Dubai I pretty much spent the whole hour of free time we had going up and down the aisle, looking at every single candy. The colours in the store are so vivid it draws you in at first glance. Seriously if I had the money I would design my house...or at least one part of my house like this ;P
Picture taken from The Mall of Dubai
Knowing what little time we had left and desperate to buy something, I finally bought a Red Velvet Cupcake (Suprise, suprise :3 )-costing 12AED ($3.25AUD), an ice cream scooper-with an ice cream on top and also a mini-cake-fork-holder in the shape of a Swiss Roll ♥

And apparently they have Candylicious in Singapore?! well a 5hour plane ride is better than a 10 hour one! I must plan my next visit to this store so I can eat and buy more cute stuff :D :D

Red Velvet

Honest to God, Red Velvets are the most delicious cupcakes in the world and are my absolute favourite out of all the cupcakes out there. The only problem is where I live there is no such thing as a Red Velvet cupcake or if there were it would be extreamely rare. When I went to America, of course it was pretty much in every cupcake store! Today I decided to make these mouth watering cupcakes and they were absolutely D-eeelightful! I used the recipe from ::here::

Topped with Cream cheese frosting ♥ mmmmmmm

Moroccan Oil

So, after three month I finally found the time to trim my hair. I had it permed for the first time last year and it really damaged my hair-it looked good for a while, but later the tips of my hair just felt like a bunch of dead twigs (yes it was really that bad). Even my hair dresser freaked out when he saw it. He then recommended Morrocan Oil, like a natural conditioner. It bests works after you wash your hair, then apply the oil and dry. It really does feel a lot more different, my hair is softer with less split ends

Kings and Queens of Anything

At the moment i've been reading the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S.Lewis, And i love it!! (Half a century too late I might add!). I'm still up to the third book but my favourite so far is the second; Prince Caspian. Suprisingly for me, it was the weakest out of the three movies made. The book had so much depth on Caspian's background and it made him such a likeable charater and it made much more sense to what a great King he turned out to be. I also love how the book is set thousands of years later and the humans (Telamarines) don't belive in narninas and the old Kings and Queens were just legends. Like the Pevensies we feel happy to be once more drawn into the world of Narnia, yet sad that so much has changed and only a few really did believe in them.

I never grow tired watching the movies nor will I will the books! Everything described in the books is though it came out of a dream, a dream I wish every night I could too one day open my eyes to. And because the world of Narnia has inspired me so much I just had to draw something out of that dream! I know I'm not the greatest artist in the world (it's been four years since i felt inspired to draw again actually) but pictures are worth a thousand words.

I use Neopiko markers, that I bought while living in Japan. I first draw the draft, ink it, then colour with the markers in layers.

My cute Sanrio Candy Case- which i now use to keep my markers in. I wish i had more coloured markers, but they are too expensive :(

My Narnia (with a bit of Alice in wonderland) inspired illustration

Who wouldn't want a Minotaur as their personal butler??! :D

Lemon Sorbet

I for one prefer icecream over sorbet anytime. When i eat sorbet i don't usually like the texture and sometimes it feels like your eating plastic strawberries. But there is this one sorbet i've recently discovered from Il Gelato that is to die for. Lemon flavour sorbet! simply delicious, smooth and might i add fat free. I love sour food so the taste is perfect for me while for others.. hmm not so much :P

It comes in a cute bucket too ♥

Dooney&Bourke

Disney! Disney! How i love anything to do with Disney. A year ago the family and I went to California's Disney Land and it truely is one of the 'Happiest places in the world'. After a year I did miss not being there, that is until i discovered an online disney store. They sell all sorts of Disney items especially ones from the park itself! After much contemplation I decided to get the Dooney&Bourke -Disney sketch tote bag for $195.00. And i must say it really is worth the price! not only is it a cute bag with gorgeous classic disney pictures (enough to make you feel nostalgic) it is a comfortable and spacious bag..(i did buy it in Medium size :))
