YvesSaintLaurent

Work has been tiring and with my lack off sleep (and posts! >_<) the bags under my eyes have really come out. So who do I turn to, well the number eye concealer...Yves Saint Laurent! This pen brush really does cover the dark rings under my eyes and it looks so natural! Money worth spent.

Jamie Oliver Inspired Steak Dressing

I watched Jamie Oliver cook up an amazing dressing for some steak. I didn't get all of the recipes only the technique but I finally was able to recreate the steak dressing. And my God I'm good~☆

Steak Dressing
In a bowl add and mix together
a hand full of chopped parsley
1/2 squeezed lemon
1 teaspoon of mint
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
1 teaspoon oregano
pinch of salt
2 tablespooon of red wine vinegar
You can change the amounts of ingredients, i usually add more parsley because..I admit I LOVE parsley. I'll also usually add more red wine vinegar.

1. Marinate the steak with rosemary and salt.

2. Cook the steak on medium high in olive oil. When heated add steak and don't move it for 5mins then turn over. Cook for another 3-4mins for medium rare.

3. Spread dressing on cutting board and add the cooked steak on top. Cut the steak diagonally, and cover the steak with the dressing. Or just place to dressing over the steak and serve :)

This is Halloween

Love Halloween though we don't celebrate it like those in America. I love the decorations and how it is close to christmas. I like the idea of 'The Nightmare Before Christmas" mixing both decorations together. Though it is too early here to buy Christmas decorations I did buy a few Halloween ones and ones I made myself.

Bought these glass decorations in Fukuoka, add water and some of them float :)
Made my own decoration, simple but brings the autumn colour near the entrance of my apartment.
A cute trick or treat bag with cookies inside

Halloween Decorations around my place :) bought from the 100 yen store= $2 store :P

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween~!

Sweet Tooth

Lately besides work all I do is shop and eat, and by eating I mean lots of sweets. Some of the delicious things i have found, are...

A mirror decorated as a biscuit! Absolutely Adorable. By the brand 'Twinkle Twinkle".

Shirokuma, a famous kind of shaved iced in Kagoshima. Topped with condense milk, fruits and jelly.

As mentioned here, I have been frequenting this place quite a bit trying all the different cakes. Here is their Strawberry short cake...and my god it is good.

A little cafe my friend introduced me too. Cheese cake and a cutely decorated cappuccino♥

Donuts!! not as good as cinnamon donuts but probably the best donuts here in Japan...where the dough tastes similar to a traditional cinnamon donut.

Chanel - Les 4 Ombres

So, I didn't bring any sort of make up with me overseas and I really needed eyeshadows for work parties. And what better one than CHANEL! it's the new autumn collection! I am really excited my first Chanel purchase ever :D

Now I won't look so underdressed!!

Queen of Hearts

I've been thinking of a center piece for my table and then it hit me, what better than using a bouquet of roses. Inspired by the Queen of Heart's gardens from Alice in Wonderland. Simply got a small vase, red and white roses, wrapping paper and ribbons.

Wrap the wrapping paper around the glass vase, the one I chose was a material like paper. Held together with a hearted ribbon.

Red and White roses like when Alice painted the white roses red.

My new Alice in Wonderland center piece!

2011.09.17 - L'Arc~en~ciel 20th L'Anniversary Tour : Fukuoka

After a three year hiatus, my favourite Japanese band L'Arc~en~ciel has gotten back together again for their 20th Anniversary tour. Luckly my ticket was really really close to one side of the stage, my god I could see their faces clearly. The last concert I went to was in 2008 for their L'7 tour and Theatre of Kiss Tour. So seeing them again after so long is very nostalgic. Lead singer Hyde looked the same as always..that boy seriously has not aged, I would like to know what he does!

As usual I bought heaps of stuff...

5.05pm and the lights turn off, scream starts and the whole stadium is filled with a sea of rainbow lights. On the stage behind the band they had an orchestra in a huge cage. They start 0ff with Niji, Seventh Heaven and Goodluck my Way and 4th Avenue Cafe. After Hyde talks to the crowd and tells us how they are now 20years old, and that they are so old. He then says the venue Marine Messe Fukuoka is way too long to say, so he gives the venue/us a nickname "Mari-Chan"♥

Of course they sang Revelation with fires coming out of the stage! Awesome stuff. Also they sang my favourite tunes which includes Honey, Drink it down, My hearts draws a dream. After Hyde would scream "Mari-Chan are you Fucking Ready?!" and Ready Steady Go starts us going crazy. After that drummer, Yuki goes on a crazy solo, he put all his energy in it but in the end he stops and falls backwards. I thought it was hilarious but after that the crowded got worried and our intermission was longer than usual.

After the intermission there was a slide show from Laruku's early days up to now. Which was really nice to see :) They introduced the song XXX with the video clip playing at the back, Hyde saying it was a song for adults :P Link was also sang! Which god I love that song and they ended the concert with Anata, with pretty white petals falling from the sky.

Overall it was a great concert!! it was great seeing them again!! I am very satisfied :)

Coharu Masking Tape Printer

While shopping around after work, something cute and unique I found was a Masking Tape Printer. The tapes come in all different patterns and colours, the font can be changed and you can either write in Japanese or English.

A very cute little printer, and I have been pretty much labeling everything I can :)
